Our Website has been developed with maximum usability in mind and, to that end, employs a variety of accessibility features.

Access Keys

Many browsers support jumping to specific pages by typing a combination of keys defined by the web site. For example, on Windows Internet Explorer, pressing "ALT 1" followed by "Enter" will take you to the Home page; on Macintosh, you can press "Control 1" to achieve the same effect.

Relative Font Sizes

To allow the user to easily enlarge or decrease the size of the text displayed on the page we have used relative font sizes. The exact method of resizing text varies from browser to browser. For example, on Internet Explorer use "View - Text Size" then select the required size, on Mozilla Firefox simply use "Ctrl +" to enlarge and "Ctrl -" to reduce.

Visual Design

We have used Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for site layout. If your browser or browsing device does not support stylesheets, or you have chosen to disable them, the content of each page is still readable. The use of JavaScript has been avoided.

Colours

We have chosen colours to provide sufficient contrast and tested the site with VisCheck to simulate Deuteranope, Protanope, and Tritanope colour vision deficiencies.

Links and Images

All links and images have sensible alternative text descriptions to benefit those who have chosen to turn images off or are using browser reader software. External links will open in the current browser window.

Printing

We have used Cascading Style Sheets to automatically adjust the layout of our pages if you choose to print them. If you have disabled CSS or have a browser that does not support style sheets, the pages will still print correctly. Simply click your browser's "Print" icon.

Standards Compliance

We have designed our website to comply with the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) guidelines.
