Torr Home provides Quality Care delivered in the glorious surrounds of a "Country House" but set in the heart of Plymouth.
Every resident is treated with respect and dignity and encouraged to be independent, making their own decisions in their social and private lives.
For nearly 150 years we have been caring for the elderly visually impaired, but in keeping with the evolving world, in addition to Residential Care, we now offer a wide range of care for all Elderly over 65s - with or without visual impairment.
Day Care - are you seeking companionship and stimulation? Then why not try our Day Care. We offer the following to make up your day:
- All refreshments and lunch between 9.30 am to 4.00 pm.
- Full use of Lounge, Conservatory and Gardens.
- Carer assisted individual bathing, by arrangement.
- Activities, entertainment or trips in the Home's minibus.
- Personal services such as Chiropody or Hairdressing.
Respite
Care - if you want a break from your domestic situation, or wish
for a "safe haven" while those around you take a break themselves,
why not relax in Respite Care? Enjoy the same "hotel" services
as the residential clients, which includes all that Day Care offers, plus:
- Personalised support programme for your stay with us.
- Balanced and varied menu, with personal menus catered for.
- Full laundry service.
- Spacious rooms, many with magnificent views to the sea and moors.
Convalescence - a return to full health, following illness or an operation, becomes more of a challenge as we grow older. Good rest and a healthy diet are two elements that speed up recovery, so why not use the facilities of Torr Home and its team of dedicated professionals to ease you through Convalescence?
